Dan Rockwell
Dan comes from a heavy background of DIY self taught talents including video production and animation, design, and marketing. His mainline activities take him into the world of design research at Lextant where for 11+ years he’s been Lextant’s Tool Czar and key Futurist. In 2008 he stumbled upon Startup Weekend Columbus, and won the TechGenesis 50k grant fund for the creation of JoeMetric, a mobile survey startup he led and started with 7 others. With a compulsive vision and insane work ethic he created BKL in 2009 to explore the horizon of “what if and why not” with fellow JoeMetric co-founder and friend Tushar Kulkarni. Dan’s role in BKL is vision, concepts, brand, user experience, research and tactical yummyness.
Tushar Kulkarni
Tushar is a constant startup artist. He keeps a low profile and does what he does best- makes stuff fast. A quiet analyst by day and builder of startups by night, Tushar is a a master at managing product development and logistical communications. At BKL he is the go to go guy for managing our army of developers. He and his team are the coding arm of BKL. He’s also lead server god, making all the various connections work behind the scenes from alpha prep to beta launch. A maker of stuff in his own right he, like Dan, generates ideas and is responsible for dev team management, coding, and logistics.

No more endless debates on the what if of ideas- we just make them. The world is moving at an alarming pace, and BKL plans to claim its piece and get dirty. We’re ready to go. Manifest
We’re a lab. We experiment with ideas. We breathe life into what if’s and take them as far as they can go. We leverage current trends like crowdsourcing, open source technologies, outsourcing in far away distant but highly intelligent lands, mechanical turk, whatever it takes to manifest the vision at hand. Napkins may be where many ideas start, but manifesting them into working, living, breathing concepts in half the time at half the budget is where we thrive.
